Expanding Perceptions of Game Tech
We wish to expand the boundaries of how gaming technology is perceived and applied by tech experts, industry newcomers and “outsiders” exploring what it possible beyond their comfort zone.
By combining academic research with business development expertise and new approaches to teaching and learning, the academy will build an increasingly interconnected yet flexible support net for those searching for their spot in the game tech arena. This support will make it easier for you to take bold steps and more attractive to establish novel collaborations.

Cross-Sector Cooperation
We encourage and foster cooperations between non-tech companies, public organisations and students with game tech students and experts. By identifying potential problem-solution matches and supporting their collective work, we are seeking to make game technology an integral part of problem-solving processes and products in a variety of sectors.
For this purpose, we are supporting students and early-stage entrepreneurs in expanding their skills within gaming technology and insights into its alternative applications. We are furthermore stepping up our own game as educators and business coaches through targeted trainings and workshops across the partnership. Finally, we are inviting the established gaming industry to join our journey, discover new paths, and open new doors.

In practice, we will use this project to try out things, play with ideas, evaluate our experiences, and learn and grow together. As a collaborative, we will share our progress, findings, and success through presentations, best practice cases, guides, and innovation models.
Game Tech Academy is a 3-year long interregional project supported by the Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak (ÖKS) fund. Thanks to the support from the European Union, the project’s partners can work on improving the conditions for innovating with gaming technology beyond the entertainment industry. All partners contribute to this shared goal both at their respective locations and across the ÖKS region.
