In October 2024, the people behind Game Tech Academy came together for our 2-day long in person partnership meeting in Skövde, Sweden.
With the great view of the University of Skövde and Science Park’s campus, we delved into many different aspects of the project: from overall project management and internal communication to the specificities of upcoming activities and offers.
Both academic research and teaching at university level are integral parts of Game Tech Academy. At the partner meeting, we got to hear more about our very own PhD student’s research plan and got a better overview of the current and upcoming GTA-teaching activities at the respective partners’ locations.
To foster interregional exchange and collaboration – also amongst current students – we reaffirmed to commit to making our offers available and accessible for students from all partner institutions in Denmark and Sweden whenever possible.
Besides many productive and lively discussions, we got to spend some quality time together sharing perspectives on the project and beyond all under the umbrella of the Scandinavian fika and hygge culture.
Many emphasized the value of meeting in person as it enables us to better understand each other as individuals from different professional and individual backgrounds. We are looking forward to the next partnership meeting, which will be held in Aalborg in April 2025– hosted by our partner AAU Student Entrepreneurship. In the meantime, we are continuing our collaboration across borders with a little help of tech.
